The Dentist...

Who likes the dentist?

only when I'm experiencing lots of pain do i consider going to the dentist.

this happened on Sunday, i had LOTS of pain. i was eating painkillers for lunch it was that bad. i suffered pain all day to ring the dentist on Monday and have an appointment made for Tuesday. that was cool, the end of pain was in sight!

so like six years ago when i went to the dentist i made up my mind that i did not like them. not at all. not even a little bit.

i had a tooth ache. my dad had a tooth ache. so off we went together to the dentist. dad went first. i waited..... and waited..... and waited.... and waited...... i am not a patient person and i waited for A LONG TIME! that was the start.

then after a long wait i was next. the lady looked in my mouth and didn't know what was wrong. she looked, and looked and looked and looked. then she did a test and another test and another test before she made up her mind what it was. a tooth with a hole..... ah! surprise a filling is needed!

then she proceeds towards my mouth and A VERY BIG NEEDLE! in goes the needle, then out it comes, then in again , then out, then in again! keep in mind THIS HURTS! then she does the SAME IN THE FRONT OF MY MOUTH!

i was not happy.

so after all that i get a filling. my first filling....

i don't like dentists.

anyone else have dentist horror stories?

  • Cara has patience ;)

I have always hated dentists. I've never had a filling but I've had teeth pulled out.

Always this time of year (when uni goes back) my teeth hurt and my wrist hurts too :( things are getting better though..

    I'm glad you're in no more pain!~

  • I'm sure the little boy who tore the wings of butterflys grew up to become a dentist.

  • I think I could safely assume that people go into dentistry for a love of money, not a love of teeth.

  • I don't mind going to the dentist, but I've never had to have anything very painful done.
